Golden Bricks Events (GBE) is an event production company addressing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the outdoors.
Through consulting, event management, and our signature events, GBE is working to change representation in outdoor recreation and conservation.

Refuge Outdoor Festival
A 3-day camping weekend centered and led by the BIPOC community including justice conversations, recreation activities at various levels, healing practices, art creation, and musical experiences.
Refuge Day Series
A seasonal event series with resources for outdoor recreation beginners, activities, outdoor-focused community organizations, healing practices, DJ sets, and flash learning sessions.
Sundaes Outside Series
An event series celebrating nature, Black folks, and their various skills, artistry, talents, cuisines, cultural practices, and influences.
Public Lands UnEarthed
A storytelling project to archive and share the oral histories of BIPOC and their personal experiences on WA public lands.

Our Goal? 10,000 BIPOC Outdoors
Why 10K? What we’re working toward is more than just a number goal.
We want more BIPOC to see people who look like them in the outdoors. We want diversity in recreation to be the rule, not the exception. Historically, there have been social and institutional barriers that have disconnected many people of color from safely and comfortably getting outside. We want to counteract that. In aiming to get 10,000 BIPOC outside, we are hoping to change the narrative around who is and belongs outdoors.
